The answer is unsurprising.

WAY More Scientific

You have:
92% SCIENTIFIC INTUITION and
55% EMOTIONAL INTUITION

The graph on the right represents your place in Intuition 2-Space. As you can see, you scored about average on emotional intuition and super high on scientific intuition.Keep in mind that very few people score high on both! In effect, you can compare your two intuition scores with each other to learn what kind of intuition you're best at. Your scientific intuition is stronger than your emotional intuition.

Your Emotional Intuition score is a measure of how well you understand people, especially their unspoken needs and sympathies. A high score score usually indicates social grace and persuasiveness. A low score usually means you're good at Quake.

Your Scientific Intuition score tells you how in tune you are with the world around you; how well you understand your physical and intellectual environment. People with high scores here are apt to succeed in business and, of course, the sciences.

My test tracked 2 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

However, if anyone has scored really well on the emotional intuition, I would be *really* interested to know how you 'intuited' information from the pictures. I mean, they were just *pictures*. How could you tell *anything* from them?

they were just *pictures*. How could you tell *anything* from them?

Um, well, f'r instance - on the "which girl is the non-religious non-virgin" picture two of them were wearing crucifixes...

I dunno!

Actually you'd probably find it interesting to grab (figuratively) a female and ask her to intuit at you about one of the pictures; the first one is a good example. Go on. We're supposed to be better at "mindreading", i.e. picking up clues about people and their relationships with one another from subtle visual cues. I'm not all that good at it myself compared with most of my concave friends; some might say that's because I'm rather spiffing at parallel parking.

I blame the fact that it was before 8am :)

i worked on the premise that the one that looked least like a slapper probably was a lot more liberal than the two over done up tarty girls - prick teasers! ;op

never noticed the crucifixes. but heck, i dont know my emotional score was bollocks... im obviously insenstitive and stupid!

You can teach yourself to read body language, clues in peoples' voices, manner, attire. It is an acquirable skill - I used to be fairly crap at it because I just didn't pay attention - once you start looking at details a lot becomes clearer. It wasn't relationships that taught me how to do it, oddly enough - it was when I first got involved in recruiting people.

Lots of people see being able to read emotions and body language etc as some sort of mystic intuitive skill. Really, it's just a sort of anthropology. Have you read Watching the English? It was funny reading it with spence who was English but wasn't aware of the rules.

I think that because social skills aren't taught in the same way as maths and science skills, people who are naturally good at emotional stuff aren't consciously aware of what they do, so it's harder to explain to the people who aren't aware of the behaviour rules.

I'm nicely balanced- 77% for each. It's the same thing for both the scientific and the emotional. You "just know" the answer, based on all an extrapolation of all the knowledge you have accumulated over the years about how other people have behaved.

A lot of the picture answers have to do with the level of eye contact, the angle of hand positioning, closeness of a touch, the way someone's eyes wrinkle when they smile. I redid the test and changed one of my answers which took me up to 85% on the emotional score, after I looked at one of the pictures more closely.

The tracking based upon age and gender looks a little suspect to me. It looks rather like everyone who takes the test scores either zero percent or 99 percent..

From: [identity profile] minusbat.livejournal.com
Now I find your question about the pictures puzzling - I would say
the opposute "how can you ossibly 'intuit' scientific stuff ???!!" The
very nature of scienece is that it cant be 'sensed' like that - either
you have an idea of the answer due to some facts you know, or you don't.
Pictures convey a lot more detail about the people because you can put
yourself in their places.

So, interestingly, I got a low sceintific score and highish empathic score.
