KMFDM - Doing it again
Although it's not something they do very often, is it? Touring the UK, I mean. Anyway, they're playing Nottingham Rock City on Saturday July 10. Does anyone else from the general York area want to go? I'll sort out tickets. So far I have two people on the list: myself and
steer. Anyone else up for a 'proper' Industrial band, not like all your modern 'EBM' malarkey :-)

According to the Rock City web site, The Hard On's!
'industrial, it's just boring old metal really isn't it' - do you think this is an opportunity to assimilate him? :-)
Ah, that will be his untrained ear. All that bleepy stuff has made him used to 'notes' and 'melody'. He can't differentiate yet between the power noise of thrashed, distorted guitar and the power noise of distorted samples of drilling holes in corrugated iron :-)

That will be *one cool gig.*

I had a very silly experience with a Pitchshifter gig once. Back in 2000, IIRC, I decided I wasn't going to enough live gigs. I was perhaps *cough* buying less CDs (for some reason), but it seemed reasonable that I went to see bands I liked live instead. So, having acquired a lot of Pitchshifter from somewhere I went online to check if they were touring. They were (excellent!). Were they playing Leeds? They were (even better). When were they playing Leeds? Last night! Bugger...

Nottingham Rock City is reportedly their favourite venue, I don't know where my sources are in case that's rubbish, but I'm hoping to see them again there to see if they rule as much as they did last time.

*thinks carefully about defeating bank account goblins*
My insightful analysis of imaginary economics has pretty much convinced me. How much will it cost, and are you driving?

Tickets are £11.75 from the Rock City web site, including P&P and booking fee. I shall probably book them towards the end of June to let the situation with Jo's birthday weekend become clearer.
I will definitely drive. There are three seats in the Type-R for brave passengers.
