Cultural Reference Point #2

A song on Absolute Radio lead to a discussion between [livejournal.com profile] trash_petrol and myself, where we realised we disagree completely on where these words are written :-)

Argh, what have you done to me? God, I hope no-one's monitoring my Spotify playlist this afternoon. I've just switched from perfectly respectable Lady Gaga to bloody Spirit of the Radio. It'll be Time Stand Still next and then god knows what?
2112. OMFG, that's what!

One likes to believe in the freedom of music, but glittering prizes and endless compromises shatter the illusion of integrity...

Completely lost now...

Isn't that because most of their songs go on for about fifteen years?

No I don't, it is merely an observation. The value judgement is all your own. On the whole, though, I'd rather listen to Simon & Garfunkel.

I have to confess............it's one of my all time favourite songs & has such has a place on my spotify playlist of all time favourites. Others include - The Butterfly Collectors - The Jam, Spirit of 76 - The Alarm, Handbags & Gladrags - Stereophonics & The Killers version of Romeo & Juliet. All rather 80s retro I'm afraid!!
