First post from Orange SPV M3100
I got my sexy new phone yesterday. I'm currently squealing like the happy speccy nerd I am and playing with it lots. It's a Windows device so it has one or two, er, idiosyncracies ;-) I'm using the web based browser to post this. It has a 320x240 screen ("quarter VGA") so there's plenty of screen for a mobile device. I've got some "remote" software too, so I can control it from my PC. It all seems pretty good so far. I've not yet got 3G provisioned on the handset, as that requires a SIM change. I'm going away for a few days starting tomorrow, and I don't want to risk that going wrong, so I'll still be on GPRS for a few days yet.
Right, let's see if the "post" button works...

It's a nice phone if you like the "smartphone" idea. Obviously, some people scream with horror when they see the size, and it is heavy.
What make is the VK 530? I've never heard of it.

It's a vodaphone 'special'

No it didn't!
And own up. The real reason you didn't want to upgrade the SIM is because you'd have to turn it off and it being Microsoft Tellingbone would mean that it would take your entire vacation rebooting...

Nice phone - Crap OS!

Nah, it really isn't that. It's that transferring two numbers from one SIM card to another via internal subscriptions is the sort of thing that has a *teeny*, *tiny* chance of going spectacularly wrong and leaving me without a usable phone for a week. Sadly, things involving (a) tech and (b) teeny, tiny chances of going wrong, happen to me all too often...

One or two hundred or one or two thousand?

Oooh, stop. I've used a Symbian phone for years, and that had just as many idiosyncracies!

1) It doesn't work very well
2) It's hard to get them to replace it when you're disgusted with it.
