More "together" than usual

In a feat of extreme togetherness (for me at least) I've booked my October Whitby accomodation. Usually I leave it till far too late and discover everywhere is booked up and I look foolish. Sadly, the rather lovely Avalon hotel where I stayed in April was fully-booked, but The Royal wasn't! I had to pay their silly supplement for "having a sea view" but it appears I'll be ensconced in Biddy Towers. Anyone else staying there?

But... but.... all the singles in Biddy Towers were booked when I called them ages ago! Still, it does mean that me and La Beedoo are cottaging which means more wrongness than ever!

Interesting. Being the speccy nerd that I am, I booked via the web site, but I've used it before and it clearly shows when the place is booked up, i.e. every other time I've been there in the last two years :-)

I wonder if I was just *really* lucky and caught it when a cancellation had come up?

I've got a confirmation email with booking number on it, definitely showing the right dates and everything.

Mmmmmm. I can taste those breakfasts now...

Hmm, having booked hotels in Whitby before online, only to get an email back a few weeks later saying it was booked up, I'd be wary until you actually have some form of confirmation in writing...

I received a very official looking letter form Shearings Holidays yesterday, with a lovely printed sheet showing my booking confirmation! :-)
