I have UMTS connectivity too! Cumbria doesn't seem so bad :-) I'm sat by the patio windows of my villa, looking out across pine forest. It's very pretty. I suspect my computer usage may be constricted by the others in the villa though, who don't seem impressed by my spodding. Apparently, you go on holiday to "get away from it all." That's not how a speccy nerd like me sees things.

It has rained all day though, which was interesting, juxtaposed with tonight's ITV News, which was all about the approaching droughts in the South of England. There's plenty of water round here if you want some.

Now I'm obsessed with my LJ & friends etc, you've just made me realise - what am I going to do when I go to Cornwall in July - I've not got anything technological & portable.

As for the water problem, there's plenty here as well!

You'll need to buy something. Get a laptop with a PCMCIA slot, and Orange do a very good 3G data card ;-)

Or something with bluetooth and get yourself a G3 mobile. When we bought Lisa's ER5 I did a money transfer via my laptop in the bike shop :-)

Turn that dam thing off & get out with the tweeting birds and slugs. Feel the elemental force! Time enough for *focus* later.
