Certain people on my FL may be interested to know that Captain Jack Harkness is the current bedtime story reader on CBeebies! Perhaps the story contains hidden messages to The Doctor? Or it's designed to prepare young viewers for the realities of alien invasion? Today's did feature talking dinosaurs ... is this to prepare us for dealing with the Silurians or Draconians?

[For those who don't have pre-school children: the bedtime story airs at about 18:45 each evening.]

People of a un-politically correct nature could possibly suggest that it's preparing children to deal with gentlemen who 'bat for the other side'!! ;-)

Mmmm I was thinking that too - if he bursts into a showtune at the end then its definite. I seem to remember him being on saturday morning kids tv a few years ago too.

Hmm, nothing of that name appears in my Sky+ planner for that channel. Is it a particularly short program that they don't bother putting in the channel schedule ?

Correct. From 18:00 to 19:00 is "The CBeebies Bedtime Hour", and program listings aren't 100% accurate per se. The bedtime story is the last thing (before the CBeebies goodnight song, which I sometimes sing along with to evie_petrol). The listings will probably say something like The Fimbles runs from 18:30 to 19:00, but it doesn't.

Yep, my channel guide has the Fimbles as the last program of the day, and it appears to finish around 18:50ish. I might record one just for the few minutes of Captian Jack.
