You have now laid down the glove. It will need a bit of Java MIDP2 coding and some server coding but I'm sure I can get it to work.

I've always wondered why no one has done this already. Coding the MIDP app shouldn't be too hard, neither should the server side. Getting a good enough contious data upstream from the handset might be a bit hit and miss, especially for a gig that lasts an hour or so. Plenty of buffering should make any problems of that nature pretty minimal though.

I wonder if there's any apps out there already for doing this kind of thing ? unlimited data bundles are quite common in the states so shareware/freeware/oss software might already exist.

I was very tempted but since lis0r is away this weekend the chance for a quiet night in and to cook a nice meal and have a bottle of wine was too good to miss.
