Just got back from the Adoption Panel meeting of York City Council. They have approved Trash and myself as adoptive parents. :-)

Possibly a surprise to some readers of my LJ. I started writing here midway through the adoption assessment process, so there was a lot of history I didn't really want to cover. It's never been a secret as such, just something I've slowly revealed to people as and when we felt comfortable doing so.

The next step in the process (child placement) will appear here, as things happen, which could take months (even years). Online diaries of this kind of thing are a well known useful resource for others going through similar processes, so that seems a sensible thing to do.

I'll write more later. Off out with Trash now...
