That was the Weekend that was...
...days ago, but it's taken me ages to get round to writing anything. I wouldn't have bothered, but I discovered a picture in my phone, so it needs something to go with it.
Pinched from
mistressmalaise, a series of memorable (well, to me anyway) vignettes:
* Olives from Lawries on the marketplace. Mmmmmm.
* Picture from Museum Gardens.
* Being surrounded by five fems for about half an hour, who did little other than bitch about the nearby wedding party. When
mister_ed arrived I tried to initiate a conversation about power tools. No idea why - I know nothing about them, I Don't Do DIY. It just seemed the right thing to do :-)
* Laughing at
steer as we all set off on the boat. His pouty, hand on hip look was a sight to behold. It's not like "the boat" had a complicated user interface: "it leaves at 16.00 local time. The Steer unit needs to be inserted into the boat before that chronological point is reached".
* The townies at the Kings Arms shouting "Marilyn Manson" as the boat went past. Mister Ed's wonderful little habit of saying "who" everytime anyone mentioned Marilyn Mansion.
*
gothgrr and myself wearing shades whilst walking around York. I suggested to Mister Ed that he didn't look as Rock Star as we did as he didn't have his shades on. He pointed out there's nothing very Rock Star about walking into things...
* Cutting the tarte au citron into pieces. I will never forget that incident as long as I live!
