Spotted on [ profile] meltie's LJ, a fantastic guide to "Electronic Music":
Click on the "Trance" button and there's my music from the last 10 years, in the red blob across the top labeled "INDUSTRIAL". The description under "Industrial Rock" does apply to me in a rather-too-accurate fashion!
Silliest tab on there has to be "Buttrock Goa (AKA Heavy Metal Goa)" though. The description finishes with the beautiful sentence "Heavy Metal and trance go so well together." Well *obviously* :-)
And now to go and see The Cruxshadows (Darkwave, apparently).

Wow! That's really useful. Thing is, it's probably wildly inaccurate, but I don't care! I've been listening to all sorts of electronica for years without really knowing what it is (or even bothering to know how to spell 'psi-trance'), but this might give me a hint as to what might be worth investigating further.

Christ, that site's fascinating. It's thrown up literally hundreds of names for types of music I knew I loathed but didn't know had names. ;)

Awesome site -- I like the description of Futurepop as "The best trance genre ever".

Hard to understand how Funker Vogt, A23 and VNV made it into three different genres or how Cubanate got labelled "Coldwave" or how Wolfsheim and Skinny Puppy got into the same category (Darksynth? Who knew!). Still, I love it.
