I used to play a lot of D&D you know. And T&T ... and Traveller ... and RuneQuest ... and The Fantasy Trip ... and Bushido. Still, like trainspotting, it's probably something you may want to give up in later life, but I do think it's reasonable when you're 12. So I was quite happy to wander around a dungeon and hit things with my sword.
( Actually, I thought the in-game mechanics could have been improved... )
