Things are a bit grim in Petrol Land

First of all, Evie has diarrhoea, which is a bit grim for all concerned. She's had it since about Wednesday last week. It's taken the edge of her a little, and it makes her hard work. She often needs changing a couple of times during the night, which is not a pleasant experience. That (on its own) might not be too bad, but...
Trash's mother is ill in hospital. She's got a load of fluid in one of her lungs. They drained some fluid off for testing last week, but haven't got any results back yet. So she's in the respiratory ward of a hospital in Middlesbrough getting bored and worried. Her lymph glands are swollen too, which is worrying. Oddly, she was bitten by a tick recently so she could even have Lyme Disease.
So Trash has been a bit haggard worrying about her mother, and Evie means she can't just zoom up there anymore and see her, particularly with Evie being ill.
Fortunately, my parents came across to help out on Friday and my mother has been staying with us ever since. This allowed Trash to go up to Middlesbrough on the train and see her mother on Saturday. We all went to the football yesterday and then visited Trash's mother afterwards. My mother looked after Evie.
So I've been somewhat tired over the last few days, and hence not really writing on LJ or playing Second Life. I've generally been going to bed at about 21:30!
Evie is going back to the doctor's today and hopefully Trash's mother will get some test results back too, so things may be a little more defined tonight.
