Evie update
Thanks everyone for your kind messages.
She's stable now. I arrived this morning to find her in a little oxygen tent. She's inside an atmosphere of about 30% oxygen in order to help her breath. She's slept a lot today, and managed to drink some milk (*and* keep it down) a few times. She has a clever little device taped to her big toe which shines a red light through her skin and determines the oxygenation of her blood and her pulse rate. Her pulse rate is stupidly high - resting and sleeping it's about 135 BPM, but this is actually not far off normal for a baby. I've seen it go up to 200 BPM today, which spooks me a little, but isn't a huge problem when you're just six months old. She does get a bit niggly inside the tent, and I can't really give her a hug or anything :-(
I'm doing "the day shift" and Trash "the night shift" so Trash slept a lot today and she's on point tonight.
The prognosis is for a full recovery, but it'll take a few days, and we're fully expected to be there all weekend.
